Fate…

Do we see the signs when the hand of fate is hurling them at us?  Often, if our eyes and ears are open.  Rarely, can we do anything to change the results.  When we can, it’s a beautiful thing.  When we can’t…it’s a beautiful mystery.

Today, as Nat and I were driving home, a 1968 Dodge Dart crossed our path, I received $1.87 in change from my lunch, then the same 1968 Dodge Dart parked across the street.  I told Nat about the Spiderman toothbrush Lea and I bought for Owen just before she left for Washington, what he said, and what I heard.  He told me about the last birthday gift Owen gave him, and what it means now.

No video tonight, no need.  It’s all recorded in our memories.  Thank you for the signs, Owen.  You always knew.  You always shared.

Open your eyes, and see.  Open your ears, and listen.  Open your minds, and know.
